Why is Fundraising is important to the operations of a non-profit, you might ask? Fundraising acts as the vital link between an organization’s purpose and its ability to act on that purpose. The Ojai Valley Woman’s Club was the recipient of the gift of a clubhouse by benefactor Josephine Pierpont Ginn. In 1909 following the death of Mr. Ginn, and in keeping with his wish to provide for a philanthropic mission, Mrs. Ginn bought the land next to the Church. She began plans to build a permanent location for the King’s Daughters Circle. Designing and constructing the Clubhouse took nearly two years. Today, we value it as the hub of our continued philanthropic work.
